Questions students ask
Is the PDF to flashcards converter free?
Notesmakr is free to start. The free plan lets you use the AI features on up to 5 notes, and a Scholar plan unlocks more. Unlimited flashcards you make yourself are included on every plan.
How does it work?
Upload a PDF to the Notesmakr app. It reads the text, picks out the key ideas and writes question-and-answer flashcards you can study straight away.
What can I upload?
PDFs, photos of printed or handwritten pages, lecture recordings, YouTube videos, and typed or pasted text.
Can I edit the flashcards?
Yes. Edit any card, delete the ones you don’t need, or add your own. You get unlimited flashcards you make yourself.
Does it use spaced repetition?
Yes. Cards come back on a spaced-repetition schedule (SM-2), so you review each one just before you would forget it.
Can I bring my Anki decks?
Yes. Import Anki .apkg decks or CSV/TXT files, and export your decks back to Anki as tab-separated text.
Can I study offline?
Yes. Once your notes and study materials are in the app, you can keep studying them without an internet connection.
What devices does it work on?
Notesmakr is an app for iPhone, iPad and Android. Your notes sync across your devices.
